OTTAWA (AP) -The Ottawa Senators recalled left winger Nick Foligno from the minors Tuesday for the third time this season.
Foligno, the son of former NHLer Mike Foligno, has five goals and two assists in 31 games with Ottawa. He had a goal and nine assists in 17 games with Binghamton.
Chosen 28th overall by Ottawa in the 2006 entry draft, the 19-year-old began the season with the Senators and scored two goals – including his first career goal Oct. 18 – in 14 games before he was sent to Binghamton on Nov. 14.
Recalled on Nov. 27, Foligno added three goals and two assists in 17 games in his second stint with Ottawa before he was sent back to Binghamton on Jan. 4.
