(STATS) – Coming off a season in which it earned its first FCS playoff win, Northeast Conference co-champ Duquesne seeks an even bigger step this year.
The Dukes announced an 11-game schedule Friday, including five home games.
Last season, Duquesne beat Towson in the first round of the playoffs while going 9-4 and finishing No. 21 in the final STATS FCS Top 25.
This year, coach Jerry Schmitt’s Dukes will open a season at Arthur J. Rooney Field for the first time since 2015 by hosting Walsh in a nonconference game Sept. 7. Within the NEC, they’ll host Long Island (Oct. 5), Wagner (Oct. 26), Saint Francis (Nov. 2) and Central Connecticut State (Nov. 23).
The road schedule includes Youngstown State (Sept. 14) and New Hampshire (Sept. 28) out of conference as well as Sacred Heart (Oct. 19), the other 2018 NEC co-champ.
