Ray Emery stopped just 15 shots for his third shutout this postseason, improving to a playoff-best 11-2 as Ottawa won its franchise-record sixth straight playoff game Monday night, 1-0 over Buffalo. The Senators are just one win away from their first Stanley Cup finals.

Buffalo’s 1-0 loss to Ottawa on Monday night was the first time the Sabres were shut out since a 4-0 loss to Carolina in Game 4 of last year’s East finals.
POWER OUTAGE
Buffalo is 0-for-18 on the power play in the first three games of its series with Ottawa following an 0-for-6 Monday night in a 1-0 loss. The Sabres, who had the league’s best regular-season record, are one defeat from elimination.
SIDELINED
Anaheim left wing Chris Kunitz will have surgery Tuesday on his broken right hand and is expected to miss the rest of the postseason. Kunitz, who broke a bone late in the opening game of the Western Conference finals Friday at Detroit, had a goal and five assists in the Ducks’ first 11 playoff games this year. He had 25 goals and 35 assists during the regular season.
