(The Spread) – After adding Nnamdi Asomugha in efforts to beef up their secondary, the 49ers’ 2014 Super Bowl odds have improved.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the 49ers are 6/1 to win next year’s Super Bowl after they were listed 13/2 a week ago. Asomugha, formerly of the Eagles, was signed to a one-year contract on April 2.
The Broncos and Patriots have the next best odds at 15/2 to win the 2014 Super Bowl, while the Seahawks are 9/1 and the Packers are 12/1. The Falcons are 15/1, while the Ravens, Texans and Saints are all 18/1 to win, respectively. The Giants are 20/1, the Steelers are 22/1 and the Bears are 25/1.
The Broncos, Patriots, Packers and Seahawks’ odds haven’t changed since last week, although the Falcons’ odds have gotten worse since they released right tackle Tyson Clabo. (They were 14/1 a week ago.) The Steelers, Giants and Bears’ odds have all stayed the same as well.
Continuing with the current odds, the Cowboys and Redskins are both 28/1 to win the 2014 Super Bowl, while the Eagles are 30/1, and the Bengals and Colts are 35/1, respectively. The Lions, Dolphins, Vikings and Chargers, meanwhile, are 40/1, respectively.
