(The Spread) – Major League Baseball is instituting HGH testing and oddsmakers have compiled a list of prop odds to go along with the news.
For the prop, “What position will the first player who tests positive for HGH play?” “Pitcher” has 1/1 odds while “Outfielder” has 17/10 odds and “Infielder” has 13/4 odds.
Will a MLB player test positive for HGH before June 1, 2012? Oddsmakers seem to think that the answer will be no, as a wager on “No” has 5/7 odds while a wager on “Yes” has even odds at 1/1.

Will the first MLB player to test positive for HGH come from the American League or the National League? For whatever reason, the National League has worst odds at 5/7 while the American League has even odds at 1/1. (It’s very possible that oddsmakers are targeting a specific player in the American League to one day test positive for HGH.)
Will a former All-Star test positive for HGH in the 2012-2013 season? Oddsmakers are giving odds of 5/1 for this prop and 20/1 odds for whether or not a former league MVP or Cy Young winner will test positive for HGH in the 2012-2013 season.
