Betting trends favor Colts in Monday night matchup vs. Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (The Spread) – The Colts visit the Giants tonight on “Monday Night Football” and the recent trends favor Indy in this matchup.

View This Week’s NFL Odds

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Colts are 3-point road favorites over the Giants while the over/under total is currently sitting at 50 points. While the point spread hasn’t budged since opening at 3, the total has gone from 49.5 up to 51 before being bet down to 50.

The Colts are an impressive 15-2 against the spread in their last 17 games versus a team with a losing record, 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS loss. They’re also 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss of more than 14 points and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.

On the other side, the Giants are just 19-42-2 against the number in their last 63 games in November, 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games following a bye week and 1-4 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a winning record. They’re also 1-6 ATS in their last seven games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.

Home underdogs in primetime situations are usually value plays for bettors, especially for a team like the Giants that is coming off its bye. But the trends paint an ugly picture for New York tonight.
