The Jets can clinch the sixth and final spot in the AFC playoff race with a win against the Bills on Sunday, but it won’t come easy.
Buffalo coach Rex Ryan wound want nothing more than to hand his former team a loss and pull off a two-game sweep of the Jets this season. The Bills have been eliminated from postseason contention, but they’ve had plenty of recent success versus the Jets at the betting window.
New York is winless at 0-4 against the spread in its last four games versus Buffalo, which includes a 22-17 loss to the Bills as a 2.5-point home favorite in Week 10. Despite that loss at MetLife Stadium earlier this year, the home team is also 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams while the Bills are 8-2 ATS in their last ten home games against divisional rivals.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Jets are now 2.5-point road favorites for Sunday’s 1:00PM ET kickoff in Buffalo. New York opened as a 1.5-point favorite and while the line jumped to 3 earlier this week, the number is back under a field goal.
