Cam Newton will start for Panthers vs. Browns in Week 16

CHARLOTTE, NC (The Spread) – The Panthers will have their starting quarterback under center when they host the Browns in Week 16.

View Updated NFL Odds

According to a report by NFL.com, Cam Newton will start for Carolina on Sunday and is listed as probable for the game. Newton suffered a back injury when he was involved in a car accident two weeks ago. His role in the running game may be limited but just having him under center is key for a Panthers team still fighting for first place in the NFC South.

The Panthers opened as 3.5-point home favorites over the Browns for Sunday’s game but according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Carolina is now a 4-point favorite. The total is currently sitting at 41 for tomorrow’s 1:00PM ET start time.
