Colts fans who were optimistic that Andrew Luck may return this Sunday had their hopes dashed on Monday.

Luck has been ruled out for the Colts’ Week 16 matchup with the Dolphins. Asked about his starting quarterback’s availability on Monday, coach Chuck Pagano replied, “I have zilch.” Pagano went on to say that Matt Hasselbeck is “beat up from the feet up.”

The Colts may have no choice but to start Charlie Whitehurst on Sunday when they visit the Dolphins at 1:00PM ET. With the uncertainty surrounding Indianapolis’ quarterback, oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI are holding off on releasing a line for Sunday’s matchup. But even with the Dolphins out of playoff contention, it’s likely that they’ll be a slight home favorite for the game.

The Colts dropped to 6-8 on the season with a 16-10 loss to the Texans last Sunday in Indianapolis. They’re 4-6 over their last 10 games but still 6-4 against the spread over that span.

As for the Dolphins, they dropped to 5-9 with a lackluster performance in San Diego last Sunday. They’re also 4-6 over their last 10 games but just 3-7 at the betting window over that span.
