MIAMI, FL (The Spread) – While the Miami Dolphins’ pursuit of Peyton Manning has cooled, they continue to be aggressive when it comes to wooing other free agent quarterbacks.
A day after it was reportedly the Dolphins were turning their focus to Matt Flynn, a person familiar with the situation tells the Associated Press that Alex Smith will visit the Dolphins on Sunday.
Smith’s visit with the Dolphins comes after Peyton Manning worked out for San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh last week at Duke. The 49ers are one of the finalists in the Manning sweepstakes, along with the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans.

Manning also worked out for the Broncos and Titans last week, with team executives saying he looked good throwing the football. Smith and Manning have the same agent, Tom Condon.
According to oddsmakers, the Dolphins are currently 18/1 to win the 2012 Super Bowl after opening as a 50/1 long shot. Their AFC Championship odds have also improved from 23/1 to 7/1 .
