ST. LOUIS, MO (The Spread) – After coming from behind to beat the Pirates on Tuesday, the Cardinals will look to beat their division rivals on consecutive nights when they host Pittsburgh at 8:15PM ET tonight.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Cardinals are -119 money line favorites over the Pirates, while the over/under total for tonight’s game is sitting at 6.5 runs.
The pitching matchup favors the Cardinals based on recent betting trends. Gerrit Cole will take the hill versus Michael Wacha, who is 4-1 in his last five starts versus the Pirates. The Cardinals are also 10-1 in Wacha’s last 11 starts versus National League Central opponents and 16-5 in his last 21 home starts.
The Pirates, meanwhile, are 1-4 in Cole’s last five starts versus division rivals and 2-5 in his last seven starts during Game 2 of a series.
