SAN FRANCISCO, CA (The Spread) – The White Sox have dominated the Giants in recent history and also have their ace on the mound tonight when they visit San Francisco for interleague play.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the White Sox are -113 money line road favorites versus the host Giants, who are +104 home dogs. The total for this 10:15PM ET start time is currently sitting at 6 runs.
The White Sox will throw ace Chris Sale, who is 10-2 with a 2.14 ERA and is 3-0 with a 2.52 ERA in 14 career interleague games including six starts. The Giants, meanwhile, will throw Ryan Vogelsong, who is 7-8 with a 3.77 ERA. He’ll face Chicago for the first time in his career but he’s 5-6 with a 3.91 ERA in interleague play.
The White Sox are 5-0 in their last five games versus the Giants and 4-0 in their last four games versus NL West opponents. They’re also 4-0 in their last four interleague games, 5-1 in their last six games following an off day and 6-1 in their last seven during Game 1 of a series.
On the other side, the Giants have been brutal, going 7-21 in their last 28 home games, 3-8 in their last 11 games following a loss and 7-20 in their last 27 games as an underdog. They’re also 0-5 in their last five games versus AL Central, were just swept by the Royals and are 1-10 in their last 11 home games with the total set at 6.5 runs or lower.
