WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Spread) – The Nationals have been red hot of late, producing walk-off win after walk-off win for nearly a week. They’re likely to stay hot this weekend, too.
The Nationals host the Giants for a three-game series tonight starting at 7:05PM ET when Tim Hudson takes the hill versus Doug Fister. Hudson hasn’t won in his last five starts and is now 8-9 on the year with a 3.03 ERA, although he is 17-5 with a 2.37 ERA in 30 career starts versus the Nationals. Fister, meanwhile, has been outstanding for Washington this season, going 12-3 with a 2.20 ERA.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Nationals are -148 money line favorites over the visiting Giants tonight, while San Fran is currently +136 money line underdogs. Based on the most recent trends involving these two teams, bettors might be wise to pony up on the favorite tonight.
