KANSAS CITY, MO (The Spread) – If the first two games were any indication of how Sunday will go for the Royals, then bettors should load up on KC today vs. the Giants.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Royals are currently -135 money line home favorites over the visiting Giants, who are +125 money line underdogs. The total for today’s 2:10PM ET start time is sitting at 7.5 runs.
Tim Lincecum will take the mound for the Giants today sporting a 9-7 record and a 4.22 ERA. He’s coming off back-to-back no-decisions after allowing three runs and seven hits while striking out eight in six innings on Tuesday against the Brewers. On the other side, the Royals will counter with Danny Duffy, who is 6-10 but has a solid 2.39 ERA.
The Giants are 0-4 in their last four games versus the Royals and 0-4 in their last four games against Kansas City, which includes back-t0-back losses on Friday and Saturday of this weekend. They’re also 1-4 in their last five road games, 1-7 in their last eight interleague games and 1-6 in their last seven interleague games as an underdog.
On the other side, the Royals are now 5-0 in their last five games versus NL West opponents, 7-0 in their last seven games as a favorite and 14-3 in their last 17 games overall. They’re also 13-3 in their last 16 interleague games and 9-1 in their last 10 when their opponent scores two runs or less in their previous game.
