DALLAS, TX (The Spread) – Despite major difference in records and perhaps talent, the trends favor the Redskins in tonight’s game versus the Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cowboys are a 10-point favorite over the visiting Redskins while the over/under total is currently sitting at 48.5 points. Dallas opened as low as -7 but the line has skyrocketed over the last week and now the Cowboys are no less than a 9-point favorite at sports books, although most books have Dallas at -10.
But as previously mentioned, the trends favor the Redskins in tonight’s matchup. Washington is 7-1 against the spread in its last eight games versus Dallas and 6-1 ATS in its last seven games in Dallas. The underdog is also 24-8 ATS in the last 32 meetings between these two teams so there seemingly is a lot of value in taking the 10 points.
The Cowboys are also just 8-20 against the spread in their last 28 games versus a team with a losing record, 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games versus a team with a losing road record and 0-4 against the number in their last four games on Monday Night Football.
Despite what the trends say, 74% of the betting public currently favors the Cowboys minus the points.
