(The Spread) – Which quarterback will have the better Week 2 performance on Monday Night Football tonight?
Week 2 in the NFL wraps up tonight when the New York Giants host the St. Louis Rams at 8:30PM ET. The 0-1 Giants are 7-point favorites over the Rams, who also lost their season opener last week. Oddsmakers have released player prop odds for the two quarterbacks in this game, which you can check out below.
How many total passing yards will Rams’ signal caller Sam Bradford throw for in tonight’s game? The over/under total is currently sitting at 250.5 yards, with both the over and the under carrying –115 juice. He only threw for 188 yards last week against the Eagles, but he won’t face Asante Samuel and Nnamdi Asomugha again tonight, so he should have an easier time moving the ball through the air.
How many touchdown passes will Bradford throw this evening? The over/under total for this prop has been set at 1.5, with the under carrying –120 juice and the over set at –110 odds. The second-year pro out of Oklahoma failed to throw a touchdown pass last week but again, that was against a stout Philadelphia secondary.
Finally, how many interceptions will Bradford throw against the Giants? The over/under total for this prop is sitting at 0.5, with the over carrying –150 juice and the under sitting at +120. One thing of note with Bradford is that he’s currently dealing with a finger injury, so his accuracy may waiver throughout the game.
How many total passing yards, touchdown passes and interceptions will Eli Manning account for tonight with the Giants? The passing yards over/under total is set for 250.5, while his touchdown over/under total is 1.5 and his interception total is 0.5. (So thus, he has the same totals as Bradford for these three props.)
Manning threw for 268 yards on 18-of-32 passing against the Redskins last Sunday. He didn’t throw any touchdown passes but he ran one in and threw one interception. There’s plenty of doubt surrounding the Giants following their Week 1 loss to the Redskins, so a good performance by Manning tonight would go a long way in instilling some confidence in the team.
