LOS ANGELES, CA (The Spread) – For as good as the Los Angeles Clippers are as a whole, everything still runs through Chris Paul, who continues to be sidelined with a knee injury.
According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Paul does not have a timetable for his return to game action and will probably undergo some X-rays says coach Vinny Del Negro.
“We’ll hold him out and see how he feels the next couple of days,” Del Negro told the media. “There’s no timetable. Maybe in a week, I’m not sure what it’s going to be right now.”
Paul has had a history of knee issues so the Clippers are likely to take it slow with their star. Without Paul running the offense last night, Los Angeles was soundly defeated by the Thunder, 109-97. The Clippers failed to cover as a 2.5-point home dog, as Blake Griffin’s 31-point effort was wasted in the loss.
Paul injured himself in Monday’s 106-99 loss to the Warriors, a game in which the Clippers failed to cover as a 4.5-point road favorite. Los Angeles doesn’t play again until Thursday night in Phoenix.
