Here’s some of the latest coaching rumors around the NFL.

The New York Dailey News reports that the Jets are Seahawks’ defensive coordinator Dan Quinn’s “top choice,” and there is “strong” reason to believe the feeling is mutal. The paper expects the Jets to also land exec Mike Maccagan as their general manager.

Speaking of the Jets, the New York Post notes that it’s unlikely Doug Marrone will become the Jets’ head coach. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen also reports that Marrone will have an offer to join the Texans as a consultant if he’s unable to land a head coaching gig. Marrone opted out of his contract with the Bills last month.

Finally, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Rex Ryan is interested in bringing in Marc Trestman as his offensive coordinator if Ryan lands a head coaching position. Ryan has already had interviews with the Bills and Falcons, although the 49ers might be his top choice.
