Patriots Fail to Cover The Spread Against The Philadelphia Eagles 112607

Bettors let out a collective moan Sunday night as the New England Patriots failed to cover the massive -24 point spread set by oddsmakers at SBGglobal.com. Despite putting up 31 points against the Philadelphia Eagles, New England’s defense allowed a season tying high of 28 points.

This was only the second time this season the Patriots failed to cover the point spread set by oddsmakers. The Indianapolis Colts were their other ATS loss of the season. Sunday nights point spread of -24 points was the highest on an NFL Football game in more than a decade.

Don’t expect oddsmakers to let up on the high point spreads on the Patriots going into week 13. Betting will be heavy as the Patriots head to Baltimore to face an offensively weak opponent in the Ravens.
