Suspended Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey is in critical, but stable condition after being shot in the head and hip in South Florida on Tuesday evening.
Bailey was reportedly the passenger in a car with his cousin, the driver, and two young relatives when he was shot two times in the head. The driver reportedly suffered worse injuries and is in critical condition. Bailey was away from the team serving a four-game suspension.
The Rams issued this statement:
“We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening. We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more.”
The Rams will travel to Cincinnati this week to take on the 8-2 Bengals at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Rams are 8.5-point road underdogs.
