Sam Bradford missed practice on Tuesday and may have to miss the Eagles’ game with the Buccaneers this Sunday due to a shoulder injury and concussion.
Bradford suffered the injuries in the Eagles’ loss to the Dolphins last Sunday in Philadelphia. Bradford was on the field with the team on Tuesday at practice, which is a sign that he passed through at least the first step of the league’s concussion protocol. His arm also wasn’t in a sling.
It’s likely that Bradford will miss this weekend’s game when Philadelphia hosts Tampa Bay, meaning Mark Sanchez will get his first start of the season. After opening as a 6-point favorite, the Eagles are now a 5.5-point home favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag.
The Buccaneers have been one of the more profitable teams at the betting window over their last five games. They’ve covered the spread in four of their last five contests, with the lone exception being two weeks ago when they failed to cover as a 1.5-point home underdog in a 32-18 loss to the Giants.
