James Reimer will start between the pipes for the Sharks tonight after turning away just 16 of 21 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Oilers last Thursday. It was his first poor performance since joining the Sharks but he’s still 3-2-0 while giving up 11 goals in five games with San Jose. He also had two shutouts during that span.

The Canucks will counter with Jacob Markstrom, who allowed four goals on 37 shots in the team’s 4-0 loss to the Blues last Friday. Vancouver’s defense once again let Markstrom down but it’s not like he’s lit the league on fire either. He’s 11-12-4 on the year and owns a 2.62 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage this season.

The Sharks are an impressive 10-1 in their last 11 road games versus the Cancuks and have also won 14 of their last 19 games overall against Vancouver. The road team is a remarkable 13-3 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams as well.
