(The Spread) – No number seeds or number two seeds will be a heavy favorite in this year’s NCAA Tournament championship game.

Even though Butler reached the 2010 NCAA Tournament final, few people expected the eighth-seeded Bulldogs would pull off the repeat feat.
But first, Butler disposed of Old Dominion on a last-second shot by Matt Howard against Old Dominion in the Second Round and followed it up with a thrilling victory over top-seeded Pittsburgh. Next up was a win over Wisconsin in the Sweet 16, then an overtime win over Florida in the Elite Eight.
Butler did not waste its opportunity in the Final Four by downing 11th-seeded Virginia Commonwealth, setting up a title game versus No. 3 seed Connecticut.
Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Connecticut a 3.5-point favorite, while the over-under is currently set at 128.5.
The Huskies are in the title game largely on the play of All-American Kemba Walker, who was held under his average with 18 points in a 56-55 semifinal win over Kentucky but he contributed in other areas with seven assists and six rebounds.
While Connecticut is a small favorite, it makes no difference to Butler as it has been an underdog in every game except for the semifinal against VCU.
Action starts at 9:23PM EST Monday night, leaving the two squads only Sunday to prepare for their opponent.
