Oddsmakers currently list Mitt Romney as a 4/7 favorite to be the Republican nominee in the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election. Rick Perry has the next best odds at 11/4 and then the odds change dramatically after that.

Herman Cain is 12/1 while Sarah Palin is 14/1 and Ron Paul is 16/1. Jon Hunstman is 20/1, Michele Bachmann is 33/1 and Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani are the two long shots at 40/1.
When the opening odds were released for which candidate would be the U.S.’s next president, Barack Obama was a 4/7 favorite while Romney was 7/1 and Tim Pawlenty was 16/1. Palin was 22/1.
