ALCS Game 1 Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The 2014 ALCS begins play today with Game 1 of the series. Here is a look at the odds for this opening contest.
The first game of the ALCS has the Baltimore Orioles hosting the Kansas City Royals at 8:05PM ET (View Matchup). The Orioles will have Chris Tillman on the mound to face James Shields of the Royals. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Orioles are the slight favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -125 to win, while the Royals are getting a money line of +115 to prevail.
Baltimore is now 99-66 overall on the season and 52-31 at home while Kansas City has an overall record of 93-73 and a road record of 49-34. These two have met seven times during the 2014 campaign, with Kansas City winning four of the seven meetings. The road team has also won four of the seven encounters. These two have went under the total in five games this year. Shields has led the Royals to two wins over the Orioles while Tillman pitched a complete game victory over the Royals back on May 16.
