Friday’s ALDS Game 2 Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The 2014 ALDS series continue today with a pair of Game 2s. Here is a look at the odds for today’s contests.
The first game of the day has the Baltimore Orioles hosting the Detroit Tigers at Noon ET. The Orioles will have Wei-Yin Chen on the mound to face Justin Verlander of the Tigers. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Orioles are favored to win, as Baltimore is getting odds of -110 to win, while the Tigers have been given a money line of +100 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs. Baltimore is coming off a 12-3 win in Game 1 of the series. Baltimore only held a 4-3 lead entering the bottom of the eighth, but then scored eight runs to blow the game open. The Team had 12 hits, including two home runs to get the victory. The win for Baltimore snapped a two-game losing streak to the Tigers and the two have now hit the over in two straight meetings.
The other game today has the Los Angeles Angels hosting the Kansas City Royals at 9:30PM ET. The Royals have Yordano Ventura on the mound to face Matt Shoemaker of the Angels. Oddsmakers have the Angels favored at home in this one, as they are getting odds of -150 to prevail, while the Royals have been given odds of +140 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs. The Royals won Game 1, 3-2 in 11 innings on Thursday. It was the bullpen that was the key to the win, pitching five innings, allowing just one hit with no runs and seven strikeouts. Mike Moustakas hit the game-winning solo home run in the 11th inning. The Royals have now won three of their last four against the Angels.
