ST. LOUIS, MO (TheSpread) – The 2014 NLCS gets back into action tonight for Game 2. Here is a look at the odds for the second game in this series.
Game 2 of the NLCS has the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the San Francisco Giants at 8PM ET (View Matchup) with the Giants up 1-0 in the series. The Cardinals have Lance Lynn on the mound to face Jake Peavy of the Giants. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cardinals are favored to win tonight’s game, as St. Louis is getting odds of -135 to win, while the Giants are being given a money line of +125 to prevail. The over/under total has been set at 6.5 runs.
St. Louis is 93-74 overall on the season now and 53-31 at home. The Giants are now 93-75 overall and 47-38 on the road following a 3-0 win in Game 1 on Saturday night. Madison Bumgarner pitched 7.2 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits with seven strikeouts to lead the Giants to the win. Pablo Sandoval had three hits at the plate while Travis Ishikawa had two hits and drove in the first run. The road team has now won three straight between these teams and the Giants have won five of eight meetings with the Cardinals this year. Peavy has yet to face St. Louis this year while Lynn went up against the Giants once and took an 8-0 loss.
