Harvick wins at Charlotte

CONCORD, NC (TheSpread) – Kevin Harvick advanced to the next stage of the NASCAR Chase for the Championship on Saturday by winning the Bank of America 500.

View Current NASCAR Odds

Harvick had the top car on the night, leading 162 laps. He was pulling away late, but had to go to a green-white-checkered finish and was able to hold off Jeff Gordon and Jamie McMurray for the win.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Harvick had 9/2 odds to win this race coming into the week, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $450.

Harvick joins Joey Logano as the only two drivers to clinch a spot into the final eight with one race left before the next cut. Following the race both Matt Kenseth and Denny Hamlin got into a scuffle with Brad Keselowski. Hamlin finished ninth on Saturday while Kenseth was 19th and Keselowski 16th. Keselowski is 10th in the current standings and in danger of not making the cut after next week.
