Hollywood Casino 400 Picks

KANSAS CITY, KS (TheSpread) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series begins a new segment of the Chase today with the Hollywood Casino 400. Here are some drivers to consider for this event.

View Current NASCAR Odds

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win, as he has 7/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Jeff Gordon (4/1), Brad Keselowski (5/1) and Joey Logano (8/1).

Here are three drivers we like today:

Brad Keselowski 5/1

Starting sixth, Keselowski is in good position to have a good start to this race. From there, it is hard to argue that anyone has been better this year. Keselowski has one win this year and seemingly has risen to the occasion when needed. He won the first Chase race and we think he is the driver to beat today in the first race of the second segment. He also has a past victory at Kansas to back our feelings.

Jimmie Johnson 10/1

Johnson is starting back in 32nd, which isn’t ideal, but now is the time for Johnson to turn into the championship driver he is. He is coming to a track where he has won twice and has a series-best average finish of 7.5 and a series-best driver rating of 117.4 at this track. This setting sets up perfectly for Johnson to get a win today.

Matt Kenseth 18/1

Kenseth will start 27th today. Like Johnson, Kenseth is having a down year by his standards, but he is in the second stage of the Chase and can make a big statement with a win today. He has done well at Kansas, winning twice with an average finish of 14.3 and a driver rating of 107.4, which is second only to Johnson.
