The Lions are coming off a 17-14 loss at home to the Buffalo Bills. Detroit led 14-0 in the game, but missed three field goals in the contest. The team signed Matt Prater this week to address the kicking game, but could be without receiver Calvin Johnson, who is battling a high ankle sprain. The offense is averaging just 343.2 yards per game on offense while the defense is holding opponents to just 282.4 yards per game. Matthew Stafford has thrown for 1,397 yards and six touchdowns while Golden Tate has 31 receptions for 451 yards. The defense is being led by DeAndre Levy, who has 51 tackles and seven tackles for loss.
Minnesota is coming off a 42-10 loss at Green Bay last week. The Vikings should be getting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater back this week. He is battling an ankle injury. Minnesota is averaging just 335.2 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing only 347.4 yards per game. Bridgewater has thrown for 467 yards, but has yet to throw a touchdown pass. The defense is being led by Everson Griffen, who has nine tackles and three sacks.
In terms of Injuries, Detroit running backs Joique Bell (concussion) and Reggie Bush (ankle) are both questionable for the game. Minnesota linebacker Chad Greenway (ribs) is doubtful while linebacker Brandon Watts (knee) is questionable.
