The featured game today has the Boston Bruins hosting the Colorado Avalanche at 1PM ET. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Boston is the favorite at home, as the Bruins are getting odds of -170 to win, while the Avalanche have odds of +150 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. Boston is 1-2 on the season and 1-1 at home while Colorado is 0-2 on the year and 0-1 on the road. The road team has won seven straight between these two, dating back to 2007. These two have also hit the under in three straight meetings.
Another featured game today has the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Montreal Canadiens at 7:30PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Lightning favored at home, as they are getting odds of -135 to win, while the Canadiens are getting odds of +115 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. Tampa Bay is 1-0-1 on the season and 1-0-1 at home. Montreal comes into the game 3-0 overall and 3-0 on the road. Montreal has won its last four meetings with the Lightning and the two have scored five goals or less in seven of their last nine meetings.
The other game of note has the Buffalo Sabres hosting the Anaheim Ducks at 3PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Ducks favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -175 to win, while the Sabres are getting a money line of +155 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. Buffalo is 0-2 on the season and 0-1 at home while Anaheim is 1-1 overall and 1-1 on the road. Anaheim has won six of its last nine against Buffalo and the two have hit the over in four of their last six meetings.
