Wednesday’s NHL Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The 2014-15 NHL Season officially gets started on Wednesday with four games. Here is a look at the odds for some of the features games today.
The featured game of the day has the Boston Bruins hosting the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:35PM ET. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Bruins are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -180 to win, while the Flyers have a money line of +160 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. Boston went 54-19-9 last season overall and 31-7-3 at home while Philadelphia was 42-30-10 overall and 18-16-7 on the road. Boston has won three straight over Philadelphia and seven of its last nine in the series. These two have hit the over in four straight meetings.
Another game of note has the Los Angeles Kings hosting the San Jose Sharks at 10:05PM ET. The oddsmakers have the Kings favored at home, as they are getting odds of -140 to win, while the Sharks have a money line of +120 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 goals. Los Angeles was 46-28-8 last season and 23-14-4 at home while San Jose was 51-22-9 overall and 22-15-4 on the road. The Kings have won four straight over San Jose coming into this game and they have pushed or hit the over in six of their last seven meetings.
The last game of note today has the Toronto Maple Leafs hosting the Montreal Canadiens at 7:05PM ET. Oddsmakers see the Leafs as the favorite at home, as they have odds of -115 to win, while the Canadiens have a money line of -105 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. Montreal was 46-28-8 overall last season and 23-15-3 on the road. Toronto was 38-36-8 overall and 24-16-1 at home. Montreal has won three of its last four against Toronto and the two have hit the over in five straight meetings.
