ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Dodgers are -155 money line favorites over the Cardinals, who are +143 money line home underdogs for today’s 5:00PM ET start time. The total, meanwhile, is currently sitting at 6.5 runs.
LINE MOVEMENT: The Dodgers opened as -165 money line favorites but their odds have dropped to -155 despite the fact that over 60% of the betting public is on their side. The Cardinals’ odds have also dropped from +152 down to +143 while the total hasn’t budged since opening at 6.5 runs.
PITCHING MATCHUP: The Dodgers will throw ace Clayton Kershaw on three days rest. He also pitched on three days’ rest in last year’s NLDS and allowed two unearned runs and three hits over six innings in a no-decision against the Braves. The Cardinals will counter with Shelby Miller, who was 10-9 with a 3.74 ERA in the regular season.
