EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – The Denver Broncos had starting linebackers Von Miller and Danny Trevathan leave Sunday’s game with the New York Jets because of injuries.
Strong side LB Miller was sidelined late in the first half with a possible concussion and was undergoing the NFL’s examination protocol. Trevathan was gone for the remainder of the game with a knee injury.
Trevathan, hurt in the first quarter, missed the first three games this season with a broken left leg.
Jets cornerback Dee Milliner, the team’s first-round draft pick of 2013, was hurt on Brandon McManus’ 37-yard field goal on the fifth play of the game. He was helped up by team trainers, but couldn’t put any weight on the leg. He immediately was taken to the locker room.
Milliner previously this season had been bothered by hamstring and quadricep issues and missed three games.
