SEATTLE (AP) – Starting Seattle cornerback Byron Maxwell has left in the second quarter against the Cowboys after injuring his ankle breaking up a pass intended for Dallas wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Maxwell was down on the field for a few minutes Sunday before walking to the sideline with a slight limp. His lower right leg was looked at on the bench before Maxwell was taken to the locker room on a cart. The team says his return is questionable.
Maxwell was replaced in the lineup by nickel cornerback Marcus Burley. Maxwell had one tackle and two pass breakups before his injury.
Seattle middle linebacker Bobby Wagner also left in the second quarter with a foot injury. His return is questionable.
