CLEVELAND (AP) – Browns Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden and starting linebacker Paul Kruger are both active and will play against the Steelers.
Haden missed two days of practice with a hip injury sustained last week against Tennessee. He returned to practice Friday and will cover top Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown.
Kruger was out two days with an undisclosed back ”issue.” Kruger has been one of the bright spots this season for Cleveland’s defense, which enters the game ranked 31st overall.
Also, Browns nose tackle Ahtyba Rubin is inactive after spraining his ankle in practice.
The Browns decided not to activate running back Terrance West, the team’s leading rusher with 235 yards.
The Steelers are without two defensive starters: inside linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee) and cornerback Ike Taylor (forearm). Both were both ruled out Friday.
