EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – New York Jets cornerback Dee Milliner hurt his right ankle on the fifth play of Sunday’s game against Denver.
The team’s first-round draft pick of 2013 was hurt on Brandon McManus’ 37-yard field goal. He was helped up by team trainers, but couldn’t put any weight on the leg. He immediately was taken to the locker room.
Milliner previously this season had been bothered by hamstring and quadricep issues and missed three games.
Denver lost linebacker Danny Trevathan to a knee injury on the next series and his return was questionable.
