HOUSTON (AP) – Andrew Luck threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns and the Indianapolis Colts led the Houston Texans 24-0 after the first quarter Thursday night.
Luck threw a 5-yard scoring pass to Ahmad Bradshaw midway through the quarter and connected with Coby Fleener from 4 yards for another touchdown as time expired in the period.
Trent Richardson had a 5-yard touchdown run on a two-play drive that included Luck’s 49-yard pass by to T.Y. Hilton.
The play was originally ruled a touchdown after Hilton recovered from a fall seemingly untouched by defender Kareem Jackson and reached the end zone. The play was reviewed and the call reversed, with Hilton ruled down by contact at the 5.
Indianapolis caught a break after kicker Pat McAfee recovered an onside kick and the possession led to Richardson’s score.
Adam Vinatieri opened the scoring with a 27-yard field goal.
Ryan Fitzpatrick went 0 for 4 and the Texans had only 2 yards of offense in the quarter.
