Orlando Magic Daily Fantasy Spin
Magic shooting guard Gary Harris is questionable for Sunday’s game due to a right hamstring strain. Harris is averaging 3.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in 26.2 minutes per contest spanning 5 starts in this postseason.
With Harris out of the commission on Friday, Orlando went to a bigger lineup by starting power forward Jonathan Isaac. The Florida State alum played 23 minutes while Harris’ backup Cole Anthony played 19 minutes.
Cleveland Cavaliers Daily Fantasy Spin
Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen is questionable to play in Sunday’s Game 7 against the Magic. He’s nursing a right rib contusion. He’s missed the team’s past two games, and his status is in serious doubt for Sunday’s contest.
Cleveland guard Craig Porter (ankle) and power forward Dean Wade (knee) will both sit out Sunday afternoon’s tilt with Orlando. Wade is the bigger loss of the two as he averaged 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in 54 regular season appearances in 2024.
Magic vs. Cavaliers NBA Betting Trends
Orlando is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
Orlando is 31-18 ATS after a win this season.
Cleveland is 16-18-1 ATS as a home favorite this season.
Cleveland is 19-28-1 ATS when playing an opponent on equal rest this season.
Magic vs. Cavaliers NBA Prediction:
After losing the first two games of this series by double digits, Orlando has played much better in the ensuing 4 contests. The Magic recorded 2 home blowout wins in Games 3 and 4, narrowly lost Game 5 by a point in Cleveland, and then won a gutsy Game 6 contest at home by 7 points to force a Game 7. All season, Orlando has exceeded expectations. This is no more evident than their NBA-best record of 55-33 against the spread in 2024.
In addition to that stellar overall ATS record, the Magic have a few relevant stats on their side in this contest. Orlando is 36-13 ATS when playing an opponent on equal rest this season and 37-21 ATS in conference games this year. Both figures are the best in the league. The Magic are a young team, and this has led to them playing well off of quick turnarounds. Orlando is a league-best 35-17 ATS when playing on 1 day of rest this season. In a game where scoring might be hard to come by, I’m taking the Magic and the points on the road in Game 7 on Sunday.
