Toronto Maple Leafs DFS Spin
Jack Campbell allowed four goals on 30 shots during Thursday’s 4-3 OT loss to the Montreal Canadiens in Game 5. Campbell and the Leafs fell behind 3-0 in the second period, but they managed to battle back and force overtime thanks to Jake Muzzin’s two third-period tallies. The Leafs goaltender had no chance on the Nick Suzuki overtime winner, as Suzuki and Cole Caufield entered the Toronto zone on a two-on-none breakaway. Campbell now has a 1.61 goals-against-average and a .944 save percentage in this series. The Leafs can still eliminate the Canadiens with a win in Montreal on Saturday night.
Montreal Canadiens DFS Spin
Carey Price allowed three goals on 35 shots during Thursday’s 4-3 OT win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 5. It’s been a theme in this series, but Price continued his outstanding play in Game 5. He made several important saves in this game, as he faced multiple odd-man rushes throughout the night. The Canadiens were able to build a 3-0 lead in this one, but the Leafs scored three straight of their own to force overtime. Price wasn’t tested in OT because Nick Suzuki scored the game-winning goal less than a minute into the frame. The 33-year-old now has a 2.66 goals-against-average and a .919 save percentage in this series. The Canadiens can force a Game 7 with a win at home on Saturday night. To do that, they’ll need their goaltender to stand on his head.
