-Joe Flacco, Ravens, was 21 for 29 for 306 yards and five touchdowns in Baltimore’s 48-17 win over Tampa Bay. Flacco threw his fifth touchdown pass at the 13:57 mark of the second quarter (16:03 into the game), becoming the fastest player with five TD passes in a game since at least 1970. Flacco became the first player since 1986 with four touchdown passes in the first quarter of a game (Minnesota’s Tommy Kramer vs. Green Bay on Sept. 28, 1986) and the first player with five touchdown passes in the first half since Tom Brady (Oct. 18, 2009 vs. Tennessee).
-Tom Brady, Patriots, finished 27 for 37 for 361 yards and four touchdowns in New England’s 37-22 win over Buffalo.
-Aaron Rodgers, Packers, was 24 for 42 for 264 yards and three touchdowns in Green Bay’s 27-24 win over Miami. Rodgers, who played in his 100th career game, has 25,616 yards passing and 203 touchdown passes. TIED UP IN KNOTS
The Bengals and Panthers finished in a 37-37 tie when Mike Nugent missed a 36-yard field goal attempt on the final play of overtime. It was the first tie in the NFL since last season when Minnesota and Green Bay played to a draw. It is the second overtime game to end in a tie after both teams scored points in the extra period since the modified sudden death overtime rules were implemented for the 2012 regular season. … The 74 combined points are the most in an NFL overtime game that ended in a tie. The game marks the most combined points in a tie game since the Boston Patriots tied the Oakland Raiders 43-43 on Oct. 16, 1964, which occurred before the advent of NFL overtime rules in 1974.

Browns Pro Bowl center Alex Mack broke his left leg during Sunday’s 31-10 win. Mack was hurt while blocking on a running play in the second quarter. He was face down on the grass for several minutes before a cart was brought out to drive him to the locker room. Browns coach Mike Pettine said the initial diagnosis was a broken leg. The team will have more details on Mack’s injury Monday. … Patriots coach Bill Belichick was concerned about the severity of linebacker Jerod Mayo’s right knee injury after a 37-22 win over the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots also lost starting running back Stevan Ridley (right knee) and starting guard Dan Connolly (concussion). … The Jets could be without starting cornerback Dee Milliner, who injured his Achilles tendon in a 31-17 loss to Denver. Milliner was seen leaving MetLife Stadium on a cart after the game, crutches at his side. Coach Rex Ryan said simply that it was an Achilles tendon injury, but didn’t elaborate.
