PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh Steelers rookies Dri Archer, Martavis Bryant and Stephon Tuitt are getting used to the life of a backup.
The Steelers drafted all three players in May expecting them to make an immediate impact. It hasn’t happened as quickly as the rookies would like.
Bryant has yet to suit up on a Sunday, while Tuitt has seen limited snaps on the defensive line behind veteran Steve McLendon.
Archer was slowed early in the year by an ankle injury and has yet to produce a big play with his blazing speed. Archer says he’s trying to stay patient and understands he has a lot to learn.
The Steelers (3-2) play in Cleveland (2-2) on Sunday.
