Wizards vs. Hawks Game 1 Odds
ATLANTA, GA (TheSpread) – The Atlanta Hawks hope they won’t be too fatigued when they meet the Washington Wizards in Game 1 of their playoff series today at 1PM ET.
Atlanta is 64-24 on the season, 38-6 at home and 52-34 against the spread. Washington is 50-36 overall, 19-24 on the road and 37-46 against the spread. These two met four times during the regular season with Atlanta winning three of the four games and going 3-0-1 against the spread in those contests. The Hawks were the lone team to score a road win and the two combined to hit the over in all four meetings.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Hawks are the favorite in Game 1, as Atlanta is getting odds of -4.5 points against the Wizards. The over/under total for the game has been set at 198.5 points.
The Wizards are coming off a four-game sweep of the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the playoffs. Washington covered the spread in all four wins and they have covered the spread in their last six games. Washington has hit the over in six of its last seven. Atlanta needed six games to get past the Brooklyn Nets in the first round. Atlanta was just 2-4 against the spread in the six games while hitting the under in four of the six contests.
