PGA Championship 2nd Rd. Odds
JOHNS CREEK, GA (TheSpread) – Steve Stricker tied a PGA Championship record, shooting a 63 on Thursday to hold a two-shot lead in the year’s final major championship.

Stricker started the day with a 5-under 30 on his front nine and then played solid for the final nine holes to get to 7-under par. He holds a two-shot lead on Jerry Kelly, who shot a 65 on Thursday.
According to oddsmakers, Stricker is now the favorite to win the PGA Championship, with 5/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Luke Donald (12/1) and Rory McIlroy (14/1).
Stricker is seeking his first major championship and his best finish in a PGA Championship was second back in 1998. Stricker’s 63 ties the lowest score of any golfer in a PGA Championship.
Donald shot an even-par 70 on Thursday. He is currently ranked No. 1 in the world but is seeking his first major championship.
McIlroy also shot a 70 on Thursday. He injured his wrist early in the round but played through the pain. There is no indication that he will be unable to play on Friday. McIlroy won his first major, the U.S. Open, this past June.
The 2011 PGA Championship is played at Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia and will continue on Friday, Aug. 12 and finish on Sunday, Aug. 14.
