Quicken Loans National Picks
GAINESVILLE, VA (TheSpread) – The 2015 Quicken Loans National gets underway today. Here are some golfers were like for the weekend.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Justin Rose is the favorite to win this week, as he has 15/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Rickie Fowler (17/2) and Jimmy Walker (29/2) while Woods has 45/1 odds. The Quicken Loans National takes place today-Sunday from Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
Justin Rose is the favorite for a reason and we like him at 15/2 this weekend as he is a two-time winner of this event and the defending champion. Rose has been playing well as of late, finishing sixth at the Quicken Loans National and second at the Memorial. He also has a win in 2015. Look for him to push for another win this week.
Danny Lee has 35/1 odds this week, but we think he is a strong play in a rather weak field. Prior to the Quicken Loans National, Lee has three straight top-25 finished, including one victory. He has a total of four top 10s on the year, so competing is something he is getting accustomed to in 2015. Look for Lee to be among the leaders on Sunday.
Brendan Steele is looking for his first win since 2011, but we think it could be this weekend with 45/1 odds. Steele is having a pretty strong 2015 season thus far. He has four top-10 finishes and one runner-up finish. He has two top-10 finishes in his last six events. He also finished fifth in this event last year, which should set up well for this lackluster field.
