Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth (5/1), Dustin Johnson (6/1) and Rickie Fowler (8/1). The FedEx Cup takes place over four tournaments. It starts with the top 125 players in the point standings at The Northern Trust. It then cuts to 100 for the Dell Technologies Championship. The top 70 move on to the BMW Championship and then the final 30 play in the Tour Championship.
Matsuyama enters the playoffs second in the world rankings. He has two wins on the year with five top-10 finishes. He has never won any of the events in the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Spieth is third in the world rankings right now. He has managed three wins this year with seven top-10 finishes. Spieth was the 2015 FedEx Cup champion and he has one win in FedEx Cup events in his career.
Johnson is the top-ranked golfer in the world. He holds three wins this year with a total of eight top-10 finishes. Johnson has won three different FedEx Cup playoffs tournaments in his career, including one last year.
Fowler is 10th in the world rankings right now. He has put up one win in 2017 with nine top-10 finishes this year. Fowler holds one FedEx Cup playoff event victory in his career, which came in 2015.
