The Masters Odds
The year’s first major championship is set to take place this week as golfers contend for The Masters green jacket. Here’s a look at the latest odds for the tournament.
According to oddsmkers from Bovada.lv, Jason Day is favored to win this major, as he is listed with 13/2 odds to win. Other golfers with short odds are Rory McIlroy (8/1), Jordan Spieth (9/1) and Bubba Watson (11/1).
Day is currently No. 1 in the world rankings. He is seeking his first Masters championship, but he finished third in 2013 and second in 2011. He was the 2015 PGA Championship winner and finished in the top 10 in three of the four majors in 2015.
McIlroy is No. 3 in the world rankings. He has never won The Masters, but finished eighth in 2014 and fourth in 2015. He has four major championships to his credit, but was winless in the four majors last year.
Spieth is No. 2 in the world rankings. He is the defending champion of this event and finished second in 2014. He finished in the top 5 of all four majors a year ago, including two wins.
Watson is No. 4 in the world rankings. He won this tournament in 2012 and 2014 for his only two major championships in his career. Last year, he finished outside the top 20 in all four majors.
