Honda Classic Odds
The PGA Tour heads to Florida this week for the 2016 Honda Classic. Here is a look at the early favorites for this field.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Rory McIlroy is the favorite to win this week, as he has 11/2 odds. Other golfers with short odds are Rickie Fowler (12/1) and Adam Scott (16/1). The Honda Classic takes place Thursday-Sunday from PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
McIlroy won this event in 2012 and also finished second in 2014. He remains third in the world rankings following a 20th-place finish last weekend in the Northern Trust Open. He has finished in the top 20 in six straight events, including one victory.
Fowler is fifth in the world rankings. He already had three top-5 finishes this year, including one victory. He has finished in the top 25 in nine of his last 10 events, which includes two wins.
Scott is coming off a runner-up finish this past Sunday in the Northern Trust Open. He hasn’t won a golf tournament since 2014, which has dropped him to No. 13 in the world rankings. He last played in this event two years ago, placing 12th.
