Pebble Beach Pro-Am Predictions
The 2020 PGA Tour holds one of its most popular events, as golfers compete in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Here’s some golfers we like to contend for the championship this weekend.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is the favorite this weekend, as he has 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Patrick Cantlay (11/1) and Jason Day (18/1). The 2020 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am takes place Thursday-Sunday from Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California.

1000 Dustin Johnson 13/1
DJ hasn’t had the best last few months, but he has looked good in the early parts of 2020 thus far. He was seventh in the Tournament of Championship and second in the Saudi International overseas. Johnson is also a two-time winner of this very tournament while finishing second two other times. This field isn’t terribly stacked for being such a well-known tournament. I think Johnson is rightfully the guy to beat this weekend.
1009 Phil Mickelson 22/1
It doesn’t always feel great to bet on Mickelson these days, but Pebble Beach has always been a dominant course for “Lefty.” He won the tournament last year for his fifth Pebble Beach Pro-Am championship. He also has finished second in 2018 and 2016. There hasn’t been much momentum for Mickelson lately, but he did finish third in the Saudi International. Given his success at this course, I think Mickelson remains a top contender this weekend despite poor results elsewhere.
1010 Jordan Spieth 33/1
Jordan Spieth has had a rough go for the last few years, but he showed signs of getting himself back on track during the 2019 season. Spieth has looked off to start 2020, but Pebble Beach has also been a kind place to him. He was the 2017 champion of this event, which is the last year he won a tournament. Spieth just needs that breakthrough tournament and I think he can really take off again. He will need a few bounces to go his way this weekend, but I think Spieth puts himself in position to make a run. The field isn’t top-heavy, so he has the potential to get to the top of the leaderboard.
