Wyndham Championship Picks
The final PGA Tour stop before the FedEx Cup Playoffs is the Wyndham Championship, which gets started on Thursday. Here’s a look at which golfers will contend for the victory this weekend.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Webb Simpson is favored to win, as he has 10/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Hideki Matsuyama (14/1), Collin Morikawa (16/1) and Jordan Spieth (16/1).The 2019 Wyndham Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Bet on the PGA Wyndham Championship
2000 Webb Simpson 10/1
Simpson comes in as the favorite of this relatively weak field. He was the 2011 champion of this tournament and also finished second last year. He is coming off a runner-up finish last week in a WGC event and was runner-up a few weeks ago in the Canadian Open. Simpson has made the cut in nine straight events and is playing pretty good golf right now. I think he can take advantage of this field at a course that he has been pretty steady at.
2006 Brandt Snedeker 25/1
Like Simpson, this has been a good course for Snedeker. He is the defending champion and a two-time winner of the tournament. He comes into this weekend seeking his first win of the year, but I think he can come through. The field is pretty light and he has cracked the top 20 in five of his last eight events. Snedeker should feel very comfortable this weekend, which will push him to the top of the leaderboard.
2012 Chez Reavie 40/1
Reavie has been pretty hit-and-miss this year. He has four top-10 finishes with one victory, but also has missed six cuts. However, I think this field will lead him to another one of his top finishes. When Reavie makes the cut, he tends to be near the top of the leaderboard.
